Privacy notice

Effective from 13 October 2026

This page explains which personal data we process when you contact us through hobbite.sk, for what purpose, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We process as little data as possible and we never sell it.

Pricing requests and contact by e-mail

• Data: your e-mail, an optional note and your calculator selection (customer type, services, quantities, indicative amount). If you contact us by e-mail or phone, also the data you give us yourself.
• Purpose: replying to your request and preparing a quote.
• Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
• Retention: until your request is handled, at most 2 months if we do not end up working together. If we start working together, we keep the data for the duration of the cooperation and as required by accounting and tax law.
• Providing data is voluntary, but without an e-mail address we cannot reply.

Protecting the form against abuse

To stop bots abusing the form, when you send it we temporarily store a pseudonymised fingerprint of your IP address (computed with a secret key, the IP address itself is not stored) and the time, outside the public part of the website. We do not use the fingerprint to identify visitors. The rate limit only takes the last 24 hours into account, and older entries are removed automatically the next time the form is used. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not store the content of requests on the web server. It only arrives in our mailbox hosted by WebSupport.

Visiting the website, cookies and statistics

The website uses no analytics or advertising tools, contains no tracking scripts and loads no third-party services; fonts are part of the page. We do not use cookies or similar technologies (such as the browser's local storage) for optional purposes. In your browser we only store your cookie choice (the hobbite_consent entry in local storage, 12 months), and only once you make a choice. This storage is technically necessary, so no consent is required for it. You can change your choice in Cookie settings.

On every visit, the hosting server records standard technical access data (IP address, time, requested page, browser details). These logs are processed by WebSupport s. r. o. as our processor and are kept for 14 days and no longer. We use them to secure the website, troubleshoot problems and produce aggregate visitor statistics (such as page view counts), not to track or profile individual visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and improving the website securely, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

To see how the website appears in Google Search, we use Google Search Console. It works with aggregate data that Google collects in its own search engine. It measures nothing on our website and stores nothing in your browser.

Recipients

Our website and mailbox are run by WebSupport s. r. o., so data from the form is stored with them (as a processor under a contract). We do not share it with anyone else. We process data within the EU and do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling. The indicative amount from the calculator is not a decision, a person always prepares the quote.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access to your data and a copy of it,
• rectification of incorrect data,
• erasure,
• restriction of processing,
• data portability,
• objection to processing based on legitimate interest.

You can exercise your rights by e-mail at info@hobbite.sk. We will reply within one month at the latest. If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, dataprotection.gov.sk.
